Fulbright Scholar to Talk About Thailand Experience
Fulbright Alumni Ambassador Dr. Liz Bergey will discuss her experience as a Fulbright Scholar in Thailand where she studied the downstream effects of hydroelectric dams at a “brown bag” seminar/luncheon this Tuesday, September 16, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.
The public is invited to the 12 noon talk, which is sponsored by the SWOSU College of Arts and Sciences, will be held in the Ballroom of the Memorial Student Center.
Fulbright Alumni Ambassadors conduct presentations with a focus on their individual Fulbright experience and discuss how their Fulbright grant has helped to shape their careers. Designed for peer to peer engagement, ambassadors share their story on a personal level. In using their experience as an example, ambassadors highlight the benefits of faculty and institutional participation in the program.
The formal presentation will take place during the noon hour. Dr. Bergey will be available for discussions before and after her presentation. Literature on Fulbright programs will also be available.
Those attending the noon presentation are welcome to bring a lunch. The Union has a food court on the first floor. Drinks will be provided.
