Eight Food Trucks, Live Band and Games Planned for SWOSU Homecoming Afternoon
SWOSU tailgating at football games and the Cook-off Challenge have become quite popular, and visitors to this year’s SWOSU Homecoming activities are in for a special treat.
Eight food trucks, a live band, inflatable games and more will be stationed on the west side of Milam Stadium from 2-6 p.m. during this year’s Homecoming.
Participating food trucks are: Big O’s Pork & Dreams, Off the Hook, Mob Grill, Klemm’s Smoke Haus, Lalo’s Taco Chop, Pie on the Fly, Saucee Sicilians and Stella Reauxs. Any purchase at the food trucks will get the customer a free drink ticket.
The live band will be The Weathermen, which will perform 70s/80s music. In addition, there will be plenty of inflatable games for young and old to enjoy.
“It’s going to be a fun afternoon,” said Sarah Mueggenborg, assistant director of SWOSU Residence Life & Housing.
For those participating in the Cook-off Challenge, the theme is pork. Chad Martin said there are 24 entries so far in the contest that will have groups competing for $800 in prize money. The contest is free and open to any team, business, organization or individual. Details and a brochure are available by calling 580.774.3024.
The annual SWOSU Homecoming parade is at 1:30 p.m. on Weatherford’s Main Street with the annual football game starting at 5 p.m. at Milam Stadium.
