SWOSU Looks to Continue Enrollment Trend
After enjoying a slight enrollment increase during the 2014 fall semester, Southwestern Oklahoma State University hopes to continue that trend during the upcoming 2015 spring semester with classes set to begin Monday, January 12.
SWOSU was one of only four institutions of public higher education in Oklahoma to enjoy an enrollment increase during the 2014 fall semester when comparing numbers to the 2013 fall semester. SWOSU, Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Murray State College in Tishomingo and Oklahoma City Community College saw the only increases, according to a report from the Oklahoma State Regents of Higher Education.
Enrollment continues for students who want to take classes during the 2015 spring semester on the Weatherford and Sayre campuses of SWOSU.
Shamus Moore, registrar on the Weatherford campus, said online enrollment is available through the SWOSU Web site (www.swosu.edu), so enrollment can be completed anytime. In order to use the online enrollment system, a student must already be fully admitted to the university and have no unresolved issues related to their enrollment.
For students who would like to enroll in person, SWOSU on both campuses will be closed December 22 through the holidays and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 5.
Additional information about enrollment is available by calling the SWOSU Registrar’s office in Weatherford at 580.774.3777 or the Sayre Registrar’s office at 580.928.5533.
