SWOSU Student Tanner Boyd Named Brad Henry International Scholar
Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Tanner Boyd of Weatherford has been selected as a Brad Henry International Scholar for the 2015 fall semester.
Boyd will participate in the international study abroad program at Swansea University in Wales.
The international study program, which was established by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education in June 2008, provides a $12,500 stipend for students to participate in a semester-long study abroad program affiliated with Swansea. Academic credit for this program will be awarded by SWOSU.
Boyd is majoring in history at SWOSU. He was a member of the Class VIII President’s Leadership Class and is active in the Student Government Association. Boyd was named an Academic All-Stater during his senior year at Weatherford High School by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence in Education. He currently serves as a mentor with the Boren Mentoring Initiative program through the OFEE.
