Two SWOSU Bass Fishing Team Members Qualify for Nationals

SWOSU Tournament Bass Fishing Team members Dalton Warrington of Thomas and Charles Blood of Canton had a recent big weekend (October 14-15) at Ft. Gibson Lake in Waggoner.

The Weatherford university pair fished in the collegiate “Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) National Qualifier” and came in fifth place, which qualified the pair for the national tournament in May, 2018. Teams must be in the top 10 to qualify for nationals.

They won $500 and each will get 1/3 of the prize with the remainder going to the SWOSU Tournament Bass Team.

“It was a real tough tournament,” said Warrington. ”Seven fish were caught.  Five of them were keepers and qualified us.”

The FLW National Finals will be in Louisiana.
