Three-time Grammy nominated saxophonist Donny McCaslin will headline the 48th annual SWOSU Jazz Festival coming February 8-9 to the Weatherford campus.

Concerts are set for Thursday, February 8, at 7 p.m. and Friday, February 9, at 1 and 8 p.m. The Thursday 7 p.m. concert is free in the SWOSU Hilltop Theatre. Tickets for the Friday concerts in the Fine Arts Center are $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $3 for SWOSU students.

Tickets are available at the door and in advance from the SWOSU Music Department.

McCaslin was awarded Best International Jazz Artist at the 2017 Jazz FM Awards in London, where he shared the stage with the Rolling Stones. He was later honored with the prestigious Paul Ackett Award from the 2017 North Sea Jazz Festival.

The SWOSU Jazz Festival has been home to some of the best jazz musicians since its beginning in 1971. Artists like Allen Vizzutti, Diane Reeves, Bill Watrous, Paquito D’Rivera, Carl Fontana and Wycliffe Gordon have all shared the stage with SWOSU's own Jazz Ensemble A.
