Miss SWOSU Titleholders Available for Programs and Special Events

Miss SWOSU Melissa Valencia and/or Miss SWOSU’s Outstanding Teen Katelyn Woods are available for appearances and entertainment at club and organizational meetings in western Oklahoma.

Debbie Brown, pageant director at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, said Valencia and Woods can be speakers, presenters or entertainers at meetings, special events, grand openings or social gatherings. Guest will learn about service, citizenship, gratitude and the Miss SWOSU Scholarship program.

Valencia is a SWOSU freshman from Marlow majoring in communication. She has a wonderful talent for singing and her platform is Speak for the Silent, Stand for the Broken—her story of overcoming struggles and awareness of selective mutism.

Woods is a Lawton (Eisenhower) sophomore and is a dynamite dancer. Her platform is Throw Kindness Like Confetti—her story of positive random acts of kindness toward others and how teaching kindness is contagious.

Both titleholders will represent SWOSU at this summer’s Miss Oklahoma Pageant in Tulsa.

To schedule an appearance, contact Brown at 580.774.3063.
