- Eleven students in a creative writing class at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford won in the November NaNoWriMO, an annual novel writing project that brings together professional and amateur writers from all over the world.

Area Children Benefit from SWOSU Toy Drive

- Southwestern Oklahoma State University students and employees enjoyed conducting the 2nd annual SWOSU Toy Drive which resulted in 58 new bikes, $2,000 in coats/gloves/hats, 19 tablets, around $7,000 in toys, and many food items for the Weatherford Middle School Pantry.
