Claremore Indian Hospital is among the most progressive Public Health Service Pharmacies in the nation. We are a fast paced, dynamic facility with several pharmacist based clinics. Among these clinics are Congestive Heart Failure, Lipid and Anticoagulation clinics. All our pharmacists are certified immunization providers and are relied upon during flu season for administering the flu vaccine. Pharmacists review patient labs and appropriateness of therapy with each automated filling of a medication through the utilization of our electronic health records. During this rotation a student can expect to perform daily activities which include chart reviews, medication reconciliation and allergy review, patient counseling on new medications and other lateral duties as available. Pharmacists are an integral component of the “team concept” at our facility where our nurses and physicians have come to rely on our drug information, clinical knowledge and pharmaceutical recommendations.
