Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center Pharmacy

Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center Pharmacy (COCMHC) is an outpatient pharmacy dedicated to providing quality, effective, compassionate behavioral health care services to our community since 1967. We are a teaching facility, working closely with the universities of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work. We offer mental health services for our clients throughout Cleveland and McClain counties, as well as referral services throughout the state. The pharmacy works with the physicians to ensure the best possible medication outcomes for our clients. We offer a unique perspective to an often overlooked part of the pharmacy practice spectrum (dosing, drug therapy combinations, etc). The pharmacy offers a wide variety of services including adolescent, ambulatory, and geriatric services. In addition, we also service the area PACT team and several residential care facilities in central Oklahoma. We work closely with the medical staff in pursuing patient assistance medication programs for our clients who qualify, a service not often seen in the retail sector. COCMHC offers excellent opportunities for the student to develop the skills learned over the course of their pharmacy education, including patient education and counseling.
