Drug Policy OKC Area IHS
The experiential rotation is located in the Oklahoma City Area Indian Health Service Office, within the Office of Health Care Systems. The purpose of this experiential rotation is to expose the student to administrative pharmacy within the Indian Health Service. The student will be involved with planning, organization, guiding, and evaluation of pharmacy services in the Oklahoma City Area Indian Health Service. The student will be involved with the recruitment of pharmacists, development of national P&T Committee medication evaluations, development of drug information requests, provide support for evaluation of pharmacy services, and other administrative pharmacy functions. The student will be in an office setting with the current Chief Pharmacy Consultant of the Oklahoma City Area Indian Health Services on a daily basis.
