Dress Code:
- Professional appearance is required. Men should wear slacks and a tie. Women should wear a dress or slacks.
- The white lab coat is optional, but not required.
- Fridays are casual day. OPhA employees are allowed to wear jeans and casual wear. Students are also allowed to dress casually on Fridays.
Important Times:
- Your work day starts at 8:30 a.m. Try to be punctual if at all possible. However, we do understand there are circumstances that can not be avoided, i.e., traffic, doctor's appointments, etc.
- Your lunch break will last 30 minutes- 1 hour. We usually take lunch from noon to 1 p.m., but there is flexibility allowed as to when you can take your lunch.
- Your work day ends at 4:30 p.m.
Meetings:
- There are usually several scheduled meetings during an experiential rotation, you are encouraged to attend all meetings;
- Check with the Executive Director at the beginning of the week to see what meetings are scheduled for the week;
- Take this opportunity to get updated on all the current issues in pharmacy.
Individual Rotations:
- Every rotation at OPhA is different for each student. OPhA is involved in many different areas of pharmacy, legislative activities being the primary area of responsibility. Your rotation is dependent on the current issues and projects that OPhA is pursuing at that time.
