Maxor National Pharmacy Services Corporation General Management Rotation

The General Management rotation will consist of time spent with the business managers and key supervising personnel within several division of the Maxor Corporation. These divisions consist of Maxor Corporate (senior management), MaxorPlus (pharmacy benefit management or PBM), Maxor Mail Order pharmacy, Maxor Specialty pharmacy, IV Solutions (home infusion pharmacy) and Maxor Correctional pharmacy. Time will be spent in each location so that the student can get a general overview of these various opportunities available as a pharmacist graduate. This rotation is designed to provide general information about each area, but will not have the time to go into significant detail and will have only minimal opportunity for hands on activities. There are specific rotations for many of these areas that are also offered as an option for more time and more exposure to daily activity.
The Maxor General Management rotation will allow the student access to and time with many of the key management and supervisory staff within the Maxor Corporation. This will allow the individual to observe the operations within a national corporation and the opportunity to ask questions and learn from very experienced leaders within the pharmacy community. Some of the activities associated with this rotation will be actual business activities and knowledge such as the accounting department, profit and loss analysis and formulation, marketing activities, RFP preparation, clinical program development, data collection and analysis, staffing activities, general supervision skills and general knowledge of how a major corporate operation is run on a daily basis.
