Dr. Jim Davis
Dr. Jim Davis completed a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Oklahoma State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also serves as an adjunct faculty member. He also holds a B.S. in Safety, a second B.S. in Physics, and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Management from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Dr. Davis is in a solo, private Family Medicine / Urgent Care practice in Washington, OK. He has experience practicing family and emergency medicine. He is CLEET certified and served for five years as a Tactical Physician Operator and Medical Director of the SWAT team and Bomb Squad for the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office where he helped pioneer the concept of using Tactical Combat Casualty Care, TCCC, into civilian law enforcement in Oklahoma. He also frequently assisted the United States Marshall’s Service, serving high risk warrants via the multi agency task force known as the Metro Fugitive Squad. He has also served as a Special Deputy US Marshall during Operation Falcon for the USMS. Dr. Davis currently teaches TCCC, for Emergency Preparedness Response Solutions, EMPRS, where he serves as the Medical Director and is an active instructor. EMPRS offers instruction in TCCC, using live human patient simulation models, to various US military and government law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. He is a pilot and an avid outdoorsman whose interests include hunting, mountaineering, flying, and SCUBA diving. Dr. Davis teaches Tactical Medicine and Wilderness Medicine for the PRM Department.
