1935: W.W. Isle was busy formulating plans for the fall term. Isle was the new president of Southwestern.
1939: The State Board of Pharmacy and the Oklahoma Pharmaceutical Association approved plans for the opening of a Pharmacy School at Southwestern. Dr. L.J. Klotz, head of the chemistry department, and Weatherford druggist Albert Eaton had submitted the plans.
1955: Venetta Kell and Dale Hanson were added to the business faculty at Southwestern, increasing the number of faculty to six in the Business Division. Hanson replaced Dr. John Binnion, while Kell was added because of increased enrollment.
1962: Rooms were needed for single men. All rooms in Stewart and Neff Halls were filled with both having waiting lists.
1967: Southwestern received a federal grant of $212,099 for an addition to the Chemistry-Pharmacy-Physics Building. The addition would provide student laboratories, classrooms, faculty offices and research facilities for the School of Pharmacy.
1977: An advisory committee was selected for the Southwestern nursing program. The committee was comprised of professionals and area residents from Weatherford, Clinton and Thomas. The committee was formed to provide input, feedback and advice regarding community needs in nursing education.
