Scholarship for UCO's ELA Chair Academy

The Faculty Development Committee (FDC) plans to sponsor a limited number of Southwestern faculty members for the $995 registration fee to attend UCO's Outstanding Professors' Academy (OPA). Faculty are welcome to apply for this scholarship. Session dates (subject to change):

Session 1: September 12-13, 2014, National Employee Conference Center, Norman
Session 2: November 7-8, 2014, Doubletree Downtown, Tulsa
Session 3: February 6-7, 2015, UCO & Lodging-Fairfield Inn & Suites, Edmond
Session 4: April 10-11, 2015, UCO & Lodging-Fairfield Inn & Suites, Edmond

If you are interested in attending OPA, please complete and submit this scholarship application by

February 28, 2014. Thank you. If selected for the scholarship, you will be asked to complete and submit the OPA application and other documentation. Scholarship winners will be announced sometime after February 28th.

I understand that, if I am chosen for the scholarship, the Faculty Development Committee (FDC) will take responsibility for the $995 registration fee. Expectations are that attendees will travel together as much as possible, each taking a turn to arrange transportation. These travel costs are expected to be paid by respective departments. Departments whose budgets do not allow for this may request assistance from the FDC. The FDC will reimburse no more than one trip per session and/or will reimburse a faculty member one time per year. Travel beyond these guidelines will be the responsibility of the faculty member.
