We will be offering HOSP 1003, which is the Introduction to the Hospitality Industry. This is a wonderful survey class that is required of all HRGM majors. It provides a great overview of all segments that constitute the industry and what relevant skills a good manager requires. Also in the Spring we will be offering HOSP 2203, Restaurant Management (Food & Beverage Operations). This class will give an excellent insight into how restaurants plan their menus, cost control factors and business forecasting issues. For those interested in Gaming, HRGM will offer HOSP 2303, Basic Room and Gaming Operations. In this class, you will receive insight into basic gaming operations and management duties. Finally we will offer HOSP 2113, Legal Issues in Hospitality. A fascinating class that explores the myriad of federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that hotels deal with everyday. Issues of guest safety and security through employee rights and wages. It promises to be an exciting Spring with a great array of HRGM courses. Now is the time to sign up for the program.
