Medical Laboratory Technician
Recognizing the significant personal and psychological adjustments students must make in preparing for health care professions, frequent advisement and counseling are provided by the faculty. Students are encouraged to develop a strong sense of responsibility and accountability so necessary to the health care professional. Each faculty member strives to provide sound ethical and professional motivation. This is made more effective by the low student to faculty ratio.
Students are required to be active members of Alpha Sigma Omega, the Medical Technology Club. Members of the club are involved in educational seminars and in public service.
Clinical experience is assigned and includes all procedures which might be required in the profession. The student is supervised at all times when in a laboratory department.
Students qualify for scholarships, grants, and loan programs.
