ACT Residual Information & Testing

  • ONLY students who plan to attend Southwestern may test.  Test scores cannot be transferred to another institution.  No Student Reports or High School Reports are generated nor will any be generated to report scores to ANY other college or scholarship agency.
  • Test scores will be transmitted to the Registrar/Admissions office following each test administration. ACT Residual scores will be made part of your record at SWOSU once application has been made to this university.
  • Pre-registration at the Sayre Campus Assessment Center is required, as seating is limited.
  • Payment of $35 is to be made at the Sayre Campus Business Office in the Administration Building prior to testing.
  • For admission to the test, students MUST present:
    • their photo ID (driver’s license), and
    • their receipt from the Business Office
  • Examinees will be informed of the testing location at the time they pre-register for exam.  (Typically exams will be administered in the Alexander Building on the Sayre Campus)
  • Testing begins promptly at 8:30 a.m.  and is completed at approximately 1:00 p.m.   LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED.    
  • Testing dates are as follows:    
    • November 15, 2007
    • November 29, 2007
    • January 17, 2008
    • February 7, 2008
    • February 21, 2008
    • March 6, 2008
    • April 3, 2008
    • May 1, 2008
    • June 12, 2008
    • July 10, 2008
    • August 14, 2008

ACT requires a 60-day waiting period between residual examinations.

Most calculators are now permitted for use on all ACT examinations. Unacceptable calculator models are: Casio CFX-9970G, Casio Algebra fx 2.0,
Texas Instruments TI-89 and TI-92, and Hewlett Packard HP 40G and HP 49G.
