Phi Alpha Theta
Phi Alpha Theta is the national honor society for students of history. There are annual meetings that include presentation of student papers as well as professional panels. Our chapter regularly coaches students to read at the annual state conference. SWOSU's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta serves also as an institutional stamp of approval for students who are active in History Club and who value the recognition that comes with membership. Membership includes subscription to the Phi Alpha Theta newsletter and provides students the option of wearing the Society's color cords at graduation.
