Flag Football

Our Fall Flag Football season has come to an end and one team remained unbeaten -----and that was Blitzkrieg.  Blitzkrieg seemed to be a team of destiny as they mercy ruled every opponent they faced except for four teams this season and another crazy stat was, their first punt of the season wasn't until their semi-final game of the season ending tournament.   Team Captain Whitney Finch said, "We played well all season long and had a good run.  There is good chemistry between all of us and that makes a huge difference.  We can rely on each other and we always know where each other is going to be at all times.  We might not have been the most athletic team out there but we made up for it in team chemistry."  Fellow teammate and speedster Jr LeFlore echoed Finch's comments, "If I am in trouble, all I have to do is look around and there will be someone waiting  or open.  It's like a sixth-sense at times.  I want to say thanks to a coach out there who helped Whitney and I out with some schemes and taught us this game, you know who you are."  

In the final game Blitzkrieg went up against Chi-Alpha.  They each traded scores and Blitzkrieg tried to keep all of the momentum but as soon as  it looked hopeless for Chi-Alpha, they would get a big conversion or a TD.  Each possession for Blitzkrieg turned in to points as they slowly inched away from Chi-Alpha but.......Chi-Alpha would answer back keeping the game closer than any game Blitzkrieg has had all season.  In the end, they proved too much for Chi-Alpha and won the game. 

Will they or can they repeat again?  That remains to be seen.
