Welcome to SWOSU Model United Nations

We are now taking applications for the upcoming SWOSU Model United Nations Conference. It is being held on Nov 13th and 14th 2008, 8:30 AM to 4 PM at the SWOSU Conference Center. All interested schools and institutions are welcome to participate by filling out this application.

The topics for this year's conference are as follows:

General Assembly:

1st Committee:
A. Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional
Weapons.
B. The role of the United Nations in missile defense

2nd Committee:
A. Follow-up to and implementation of the outcome of the International Conference
on Financing for Development
B. Servicing the debt of developing countries

3rd Committee:
C. Implementation of the outcome of the World Summit for Social Development and
of the twenty-fourth special session of the General Assembly.
D. Promotion and protection of the rights of children and to youth, ageing, disabled
persons and the family.
