Violence Intervention, Prevention and Early Response

The Violence Intervention, Prevention and Early Response (VIPER) Program at Southwestern is a partner on East Central University’s Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO) Violence Prevention Project. It is made possible by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women and is designed to minimize the incidence of violent relational crime such as sexual assault, intimate partner violence/abuse, and stalking on SWOSU’s campus.

Wendy Henson

Wendy Henson has been the Violence Prevention Project Coordinator since it began on the SWOSU campuses in February of 2008. She is originally from Long Beach, CA and earned her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado. She later earned her Master Degree in the Secondary Education of Social Sciences from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and has worked at the university since 2006.
