Health and safety are the cornerstones of personal and academic success. SWOSU has offices, services and organizations that offer assistance, support, intervention, reporting and advocacy across our campuses.

We see you. We here at SWOSU strive to provide quality, accessible health care so that you can make the most of your time spent here with us. Our staff places emphasis on health promotion and wellness through education. We want you to develop healthy lifestyles and habits to keep you going strong long after you leave SWOSU.

SWOSU wants you to live well so you’ll learn well. We have services, staff and facilities on campus to help keep you healthy.

Counseling Services

We’re listening. SWOSU Counseling Services attends to the emotional, personal and academic concerns of students throughout their college careers by providing professional guidance and support through individual and group counseling.

SWOSU has Licensed Professional Counselors  to assist you with personal issues and concerns. Many students seek counseling at Counseling Services for a variety of reasons. If you are experiencing, anxiety, stress, homesickness, grief, abuse or relationship problems, we have counselors available. We’re here when you need someone to talk to or when you just need a sounding board.

Campus Safety

SWOSU is fortunate to be located in a rural community in Western Oklahoma where crime rates are low. That being said, safety is a constant concern at SWOSU. We are committed to your safety and make it a top priority. We have staff monitoring public safety, emergency preparedness and environmental health and safety. 

SWOSU Police are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Headquarters are located on the Southeast corner of campus.
