SWOSU Hosts Successful Blood Drive
Oklahoma Blood Institute officials were very pleased with the blood drive held February 5-6 on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford.
OBI Account Consultant Emma Meyer said 213 people showed up to give blood with 182 successful donors.
“Since each donation can go to three patients in the hospital, that is 546 lives saved!” Meyer said. “We extend thanks to the campus, Collegiate Activities Board students and area residents for their support. We are so grateful to the SWOSU community for supporting our live-saving mission.”
The next drive at SWOSU is set for April 9-10.
