SWOSU Selects Colleague by Ellucian for New ERP System
Southwestern Oklahoma State University has selected Colleague® by Ellucian for its enterprise resource planning (ERP), student information systems (SIS), finance, human resources and talent management solutions.
Founded in 1901, Southwestern Oklahoma State University is known for its 14 nationally accredited associate, bachelors, masters and doctoral programs and is regarded as one of the top graduate schools in the state. Located in the center of western Oklahoma, SWOSU gives students the option to take classes on campuses in Weatherford and Sayre or participate in distance-learning opportunities.
“We chose Colleague because of its robust functionality, its proven ability to unite data across business functions, and the rigorous implementation methodology,” said SWOSU President Randy Beutler. “We are looking forward to the operational efficiencies we’ll gain, as well as the ability to implement new, student-facing technology with mobile, responsive design and student planning functionality.”
Once implemented, institutional data will be available in a single database and accessed through the Colleague ERP, giving faculty and administration the ability to make data-driven decisions and virtually eliminate manual processes and internal siloes. Colleague’s student planning functionality and self-service tools will give students a clear path from acceptance to graduation, helping them save time and money while increasing control over their academic journey.
“We are thrilled to welcome Southwestern Oklahoma State University to the Ellucian family,” said Ellucian Senior Vice President of Sales, North American Markets, Dan Maier. “Colleague will help SWOSU maintain its reputation of academic excellence and improve the faculty and student experience by increasing access to relevant data and allowing for the implementation of new technology on campus.”
