SWOSU Symphony Orchestra Plans November 27 Concert

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Symphony Orchestra will present its second concert of the fall semester on Tuesday, November 27, on the Weatherford campus.

The 7 p.m. concert will be held in the Fine Arts Center. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

The concert will feature SWOSU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. James South as the trumpet soloist in Prayer of Saint Gregory, by American composer Alan Hovhaness.

Dr. Hsuan-Yu Alex Lee, conductor of the SWOSU Symphony Orchestra, said the program will also include Verdi’s Nabucco Overture and movements from Tchaikovsky’s iconic Symphony No. 5.
