SWOSU Blood Drives Save 1,920 Lives
Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford had several blood drives during the 2018-19 school year, and Oklahoma Blood Institute officials have reported 640 donations.
OBI Account Consultant Emma Meyer said each donation saves three lives, giving SWOSU a grand total of saving 1,920 lives.
SWOSU will be the site of another community blood drive on June 18 when the Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs sponsor a drive in the Wellness Center from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to participate. The first blood drive in the fall on the SWOSU campus will be Monday, August 19.
