Barr & Lyons Graduate Exhibit Set for August 17-29 at SWOSU

Poster imageOn the Horizon featuring artists William Barr and Eric Lyons will be on display August 17-29 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

The graduate exhibit was originally scheduled this past spring but, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the exhibit was moved to August. Lyons is now a teacher at Heritage Hall in Oklahoma City and Barr teaches at Edmond Deer Creek. Both are now SWOSU alumni.

The exhibit will be on display Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Art Building Gallery. Admission is free, and the public is invited. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged.

A “Meet and Greet” with the artists is planned Thursday, August 20, from 5-7 p.m., also in the gallery. The reception is open to the public.

Barr is from Elk City and Lyons is from Wynnewood. The exhibit is sponsored by the SWOSU Department of Art, Communication and Theatre.
