SWOSU Holding Auditions for Live Radio Show Production
Southwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Art, Communication and Theatre
is holding auditions for a very exciting project—a live radio show.
In partnership with the SWOSU Department of Music and Wright Wradio, SWOSU will stage and broadcast Rick Lowell, Private Eye – ‘The Stuff That Dreams are Made Of’ during three different weeks in late October and early November.
Auditions for Anthony E. Palermo’s production are Wednesday, September 9, from 3-6 p.m. in the SWOSU Hilltop Theatre. If students are interested in the project but can not make that time frame, email Steve Strickler at steve.strickler@swosu.edu.
The company will be comprised of voice actors, technicians, foley artists, musicians and designers. Reminiscent of the 1940s & 50s radio programming, the show will feature live sound effects and music of the 1940s. The play is a detective story set in 1942 Los Angeles.
For more information on the auditions or the production, contact Strickler at steve.strickler@swosu.edu or Jessica Salmans at jessica.salmans@swosu.edu.
