SWOSU Holding Auditions for Live Radio Show Production

flyerSouthwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Art, Communication and Theatre is holding auditions for a very exciting project—a live radio show.

In partnership with the SWOSU Department of Music and Wright Wradio, SWOSU will stage and broadcast Rick Lowell, Private Eye – ‘The Stuff That Dreams are Made Of’ during three different weeks in late October and early November.

Auditions for Anthony E. Palermo’s production are Wednesday, September 9, from 3-6 p.m. in the SWOSU Hilltop Theatre. If students are interested in the project but can not make that time frame, email Steve Strickler at

The company will be comprised of voice actors, technicians, foley artists, musicians and designers.  Reminiscent of the 1940s & 50s radio programming, the show will feature live sound effects and music of the 1940s.  The play is a detective story set in 1942 Los Angeles.
