SWOSU Encourages FAFSA Signup

FAFSA forms are now available, and high school seniors/SWOSU students are encouraged to fill out the form as soon as possible as students continue their educational careers, like this SWOSU nursing student.
The new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available, and Southwestern Oklahoma State University Student Financial Services Director Jerome Wichert in Weatherford encourages students to complete the form as soon as possible.

Students are directed to manage the student aid process by visiting this website:

At the site, students can apply for financial aid using the FAFSA form and learn about deadlines.   They can also review checklists for academic and financial preparation and manage student loans.

Wichert said the 2021-22 FAFSA that is available now is for students who will begin courses during the fall of 2021. This includes current high school seniors who will be attending college next fall.

“We recommend that current SWOSU students complete the FAFSA before December 1 each year so that they can also be considered for the Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant and University scholarships,” Wichert said. “Students can also still complete the 2020-21 FAFSA to receive aid for the current year.”

Students who have questions about the process should contact the SWOSU Student Financial Services office at 580.774.3786.
