SWOSU Student Group Conducting Clothing Drive for Homeless Shelters & Orgs

A clothing drive for homeless shelters and various organizations in Oklahoma is being conducted by Phi Delta Chi pharmacy fraternity at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Ryann Richardson, chair of the PDC Service Committee, said the “spring cleaning” clothing drive has donation boxes in three buildings on the SWOSU campus. Locations are the Stafford Center, Memorial Student Center and the Chemistry, Pharmacy, Physics (CPP) Building.

Individuals who would like to schedule a time to drop off donations with a member of the service committee can text or call (580) 821-1715.

Clothing items (men, women and children) of all sizes that are being accepted include:

-Shirts (long sleeve and short sleeve)

-Jackets, coats, sweaters and hoodies

-Scarfs, beanies and hats

-Jeans, pants and leggings

-Shorts of any kind

-Dresses and skirts

-Shoes of any kind

-Belts

Homeless shelters and organizations that will benefit from the donations include Grace Rescue Mission, Homeless Alliance, Salvation Army's Center of Hope and John 3:16 Mission.

Donations are being accepted through Wednesday, April 14.
