SWOSU Letterman Alumni Association Established
Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has announced the formation of the SWOSU Letterman Alumni Association.
The association has been created to provide SWOSU graduates, who were athletic letterman, a way to stay involved with and support the SWOSU Athletic Department.
The association is offering each SWOSU graduate who lettered in athletics the opportunity to purchase a letterman ring. Letterman status is defined as any individual who graduated from SWOSU and lettered in any sport at SWOSU and will be verified by letter years and graduation year.
The association has been established by SWOSU lettermen Vance Nye and Greg Hinkle.
“The SWOSU letterman ring will be an everyday symbol that each letterman can wear with pride,” Nye said. “The association hopes that former SWOSU athletes will support this unique opportunity to aid SWOSU athletics and SWOSU student-athletes.”
Potential association members are encouraged to visit www.SWOSULettermanAlumni.com to purchase their SWOSU letterman ring and to begin the association membership process.
The SWOSU Letterman Alumni Association is a subsidiary of the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was founded in 1977 to promote philanthropy, award scholarships and distribute funds to support the activities and programs of SWOSU. Located on the Weatherford campus in the historic Burton House, the Foundation currently administers nearly $30 million in assets for the benefit of SWOSU.
