SWOSU Pair of Students Wins Scholarships from Delta Mu Delta

Southwestern Oklahoma State University students Leticia Ortiz (left) of Clinton and Cassidy Moore of Tuttle were recently awarded regionally and nationally competitive scholarships from Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University students Leticia Ortiz of Clinton and Cassidy Moore of Tuttle were recently awarded regionally and nationally competitive scholarships based upon their scholastic achievement, leadership qualities and character/ethical behavior.

The students are part of the SWOSU chapter of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in business on the Weatherford campus.

Ortiz was honored with the Rajan Family Award. Ortiz currently serves as chapter president at SWOSU. She is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing.

Moore received a Region 6 award. She is the chapter treasurer at SWOSU and is currently a junior seeking a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance.

Delta Mu Delta was founded in 1913 and membership in the society is the highest national honor for business students accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. To be considered for membership, a student must be of junior, senior or graduate standing and rank in the top 20% of their class.

Roxanne Davis and David Kelly serve as advisors for SWOSU’s Omicron Sigma chapter.
