SWOSU Student Jake Biddy Earns International Internship in France
Jake Biddy, a sophomore majoring in engineering technology, will spend eight weeks in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University engineering student Jake Biddy of Weatherford has landed an impressive summer internship in France.
Biddy, a sophomore majoring in engineering technology, will spend eight weeks in Aix-en-Provence, France.
He was awarded the international internship through the International Research Experiences for Students (IRES) Project. This program contributes to addressing the knowledge gaps of the entering industrial workforce by imparting world-class research skills in smart manufacturing and artificial intelligence to diverse groups of U.S. engineering students through cohort experiences.
Biddy’s internship will be at Arts et Metiers, the Grande Ecole of Technology at Aix en Provence, France. Biddy was able to land the internship through Texas A & M University, which awards a limited number of internships to non-A & M students.
Biddy is a member of the President’s Leadership Class at SWOSU and a 2021 graduate of Fort Cobb/Broxton High School.
