Dhillon, Hentea to Present Paper on Cybersecurity Program

Dr. Harpal Dhillon and Dr. Mariana Hentea, faculty members in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, will present a refereed research paper at the 43rd annual Association for Computing Machinery Southeast Conference to be held March 18-19 at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

This is the oldest, continuously running annual conference of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

The paper, authored by Dhillon and Hentea, is titled “Getting a Cybersecurity Program Started on Low Budget.” The paper provides an overview of strategies for minimizing the costs of a start-up cybersecurity program for undergraduate students.

The School of Computer Science and Technology at SWOSU is pursuing one of these strategies in setting up a new computer/information security program.
