SWOSUpalooza Coming This Thursday

SWOSUpalooza is coming up this Thursday, April 14, from 3-11 p.m. at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Many fun activities are planned in conjunction with the eight-hour live band concert, which is sponsored by the SWOSU Student Government Association. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Several campus organizations will be giving out free lemonade, cotton candy, funnel cakes, soft drinks and hot dogs until the supplies are exhausted. There will be many door prizes, and an airbrush tattoo artist will be stationed at SWOSUpalooza. One SWOSU organization will be selling Indian tacos for a fundraiser, and another organization will have a picture booth where they will sell pictures as a fundraiser.

Seven bands will be featured at this year’s SWOSUpalooza. Bands will perform live just south of the Clock Tower, located between the Student Union and Al Harris Library. Eric Johns, events director of the SWOSU SGA, said the lineup of bands includes:

  • 3 p.m. Tulchalk
  • 4 p.m. The Fighting Potato Wedges
  • 5 p.m. Hanging By a Thread
