Twenty-Four Hours of Music Starts Friday at SWOSU


"Twenty Four Hours of Music" will be staged at Southwestern Oklahoma State University this Friday and Saturday, April 15-16, on the Weatherford campus.

Phi Mu Alpha, a music fraternity at SWOSU, is planning the event that will benefit music education programs in western Oklahoma and the music therapy program at the Children's Center in Bethany.

Music is lined up starting at 11 a.m. on Friday and continuing for 24 hours until 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium and in Room 102 of the Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $6 and available at the SWOSU Music Department Office or at the door.

Eric Pennello, president of Phi Mu Alpha, said the fraternity has planned a diverse program and encourages everyone to attend and help raise funds for music education programs. Donations are also welcome.

Pennello said there will be a karaoke hour at 2 a.m. and an open microphone night at 3 a.m.
