SWOSU Hosts Successful Blood Drive


Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s recent blood drive on the Weatherford campus resulted in 196 people attempting to give blood.

Oklahoma Blood Institute Program Consultant Michelle Stinson said the efforts of Eric Johns, Bryan Miller and the SWOSU Student Government Association ensured the success of the February drive which resulted in 159 people actually giving blood.

Stinson also thanked the SWOSU football team, coached by Ryan Held, which participated in the drive as one of their community service projects.

The Oklahoma Blood Institute conducts five blood drives each year on the SWOSU campus. The next drive is scheduled for April 10-11 in the Wellness Center on the SWOSU campus.
