SWOSU Rush Week Begins

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Rush Week kicks off this Sunday, September 24, at 7 p.m. in the Stafford Center on the Weatherford campus. All SWOSU students are invited to attend.

“This is a great chance to meet new friends, get involved in community service and lead at SWOSU,” said Cindy Dougherty, dean of students and Greek Council sponsor.

SWOSU Sorority Council President Cashlie Hines said over 180 students are involved in SWOSU Greek Life in one form or another. Sororities include Sigma Sigma Chi, Zeta Phi, and Kappa Delta Omega. Fraternities include Sigma Tau Gamma and Kappa Gamma Beta.

There is a sorority rush fee of $25 for all women. Hines said this pays for rush expenses and a rush t-shirt. Money is due at the 7 p.m. kickoff event on Sunday.
