SWOSU Panorama Speaker This Tuesday

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Panorama event this Tuesday, December 5, will feature Dr. Gary Telgenhoff, a forensics consultant on the hit television drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”

Telgenhoff will speak at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the SWOSU campus in Weatherford. His talk is entitled “Speak for You: The Real CSI.” Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Telgenhoff is a forensic pathologist and deputy medical examiner at the Clark County Coroner's Office in Las Vegas, Nevada. He sees approximately 1,000 bodies each year, 450 of which he autopsies. Of these cases, 45 are homicides. His presence is often required in court with regard to his findings and determination of cause and manner of death.

SWOSU’s Panorama series has been bringing outstanding events to the Weatherford campus since 1991. Panorama is partially supported by an endowed lectureship sponsored by SBC. Upcoming Panorama events during the 2007 spring semester at SWOSU include a concert by the Harlem Gospel Choir of New York City on January 23 and a performance by comedian Pauly Shore on March 7. Tickets are currently on sale for the Harlem Gospel Choir performance.
