SWOSU Student Preparing For Marimba Festival


Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Enid Hennen will present a percussion recital this Thursday, June 28, on the Weatherford campus in preparation for participation in the Nancy Zeltsman Marimba Festival in Appleton, Wisconsin.

The recital is at 3 p.m. in Room 101 of the Music Building on the SWOSU campus. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Hennen will be performing Michi by Keiko Abe on marimba, Looking Back by David Friedman on vibraphone, and Conversation by Akira Myoshi, also on marimba.

Hennen is a 2005 graduate of Tecumseh High School. Hennen is the daughter of Rex and Caryl Hennen and Dianne Wishard. She is a student of SWOSU music faculty member David Bessinger.
