SWOSU Orchestra Plans October Concert


The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Robert Chambers, will be in concert on Tuesday, October 16, at 8:15 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the Weatherford campus.

The concert will feature the following selections:  Three Seventeenth Century Dutch Tunes arranged by Hans Kindler; Battle Hymn of the Republic arranged by Peter J. Wilhousky; Fugue for Small Orchestra by Charles Ives; and Piano Concerto No. 5 in Eb Major, Op. 73 “Emperor” by Ludwig van Beethoven, featuring SWOSU music faculty member Dr. Dennis Widen as piano soloist. 

Admission is free, and the public is invited.
