SWOSU Percussion Ensemble Performs Thursday


The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Percussion Ensemble will perform this Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. on the Weatherford campus.

The concert will be held in Room 101 of the Music Building on the SWOSU campus. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

The Percussion Ensemble, directed by David Bessinger, will perform a variety of music including, Off Axis for Solo Marimba with Percussion Ensemble by Lynn Glassock; Prelude and Dance for Keyboard Percussion Ensemble by Ronald Lo Presti; Quartz City for Vibraphone Solo and Percussion Quintet by David Johnson; and Spirits Rising for African Percussion Ensemble by Matt Savage.

Members of the Percussion Ensemble are: Jonathan Anzaldua, Tulia, TX; Mollie Baker, Canadian, TX; Andrew Hatch, Owasso; Jacob Heck, Washington; Enid Hennen, Tecumseh; Jason Johnston, Yukon; Lance Longhorn, Tecumseh; Tyler Paul, White Deer, TX; John Scarritt, El Reno; Kasey Shaver, Manitou; and Erich Spaeth, Harrah.
