SWOSU-Sayre Offers Night Classes in Elk City

Southwestern Oklahoma State University-Sayre will offer three night classes at Elk City High School beginning in August.

World History, Computer/Information Access and General Psychology are offered as part of the SWOSU-Sayre fall class schedule.

“We’re trying to make college more convenient for students,” said SWOSU-Sayre World History instructor Landry Brewer.  “Having classes in Elk City allows students who work until five or six o’clock to complete college hours that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to.”

Working adults are not the only ones who could benefit.

“High school juniors and seniors are also eligible to take these classes,” Brewer said.  “And the classes transfer to other colleges and universities, so this is a great way to get a jump on college and a career.”

Oklahoma high school seniors with a minimum ACT score may be able to take college courses tuition free.

Night classes meet one night a week August through December.
