SWOSU Jazz Ensembles Plan November 9 Concert


Two Southwestern Oklahoma State University jazz ensembles will perform in concert on Sunday, November 9, at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium on the Weatherford campus.

The concert, featuring Jazz Ensemble “A” directed by Dr. Keith Talley and Jazz Ensemble “B” directed by Dr. Terry Segress, is free and open to the public.  The performance will feature jazz standards as well as recent compositions.

Personnel for Jazz Ensemble “A” include: Saxophones: Adriel Reynolds, Lawton; Josh Dodson, Perryton, TX; Thomas Burns, Altus; Aryn Hamilton, Weatherford; and Misty Schumann, Midwest City.  Trumpets: Keith Medders, Grove; Ann Gammenthaler, Broken Arrow; Elisa Endres, Gainesville, TX; and Daisy Edwards, Plainview, TX.  Trombones: Sean Wright, Moore; Christopher Hall, Enid; Josh Lawson, Colorado Springs, CO; and Braden Boily, Enid.  Rhythm: Stephen Myers, Mustang; Tyler Paul, White Deer, TX; Mark Smithey, Alva; and Daniel Moran, Altus.

Personnel for Jazz Ensemble “B” include:  Saxophones:  Barrett Hamm, Okmulgee; Garrick Friesen, Enid; Adriel Reynolds, Lawton; and Ingrid Simmons, Weatherford.  Trumpets: Nicholas Lindley, Cordell; Elisa Endres, Gainesville, TX; Christopher Hall, Enid; and Joshua Atkins, Frederick. Trombones: Josh Lawson, Colorado Springs, CO; Danielle Walker, Deer Creek; and Mark Smithey, Alva. Rhythm: Sean Wright, Moore; Beaux Perry, Anadarko; Josh Caviness, Clinton; and Tyler Paul, White Deer, TX.
