Youth Activity Camp Planned This Saturday at SWOSU

A youth activity camp is planned for this Saturday, December 6, on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford.

Social sorority Zeta Phi is planning the 2nd annual Zeta Bulldog Camp for ages 5-12. Two sessions are planned, one from 8 a.m. until 12 noon and the other from 1-4 p.m. at the Wellness Center on the SWOSU campus.

Vanessa McCool, secretary/historian of Zeta Phi, said there will be games, arts and crafts, prizes, a lesson in stranger danger, and other fun educational activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to have a picture taken with Santa Claus. Helping with the entertainment will be SWOSU student-athletes, local firemen and police officers, and Zeta Phi members.

Cost is $25 for both sessions. Registration can be done on Saturday.

“Last year we hosted the first camp and it went well,” McCool said. “We have made some improvements and this year’s camp will be full of excitement. Plus, it’ll give parents a day off and a chance to do some Christmas shopping.”
