SWOSU 39th Annual Jazz Festival This Thursday and Friday


The 39th annual Southwestern Oklahoma State University Jazz Festival is this Thursday and Friday, February 12-13, on the Weatherford campus.

Two jazz concerts are planned on Friday at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.  Headlining the festival are Grammy Award winner John Clayton and the Clayton Brothers Quintet. 

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $3 for students. Tickets are on sale at the SWOSU Music Office, Room 100, in the Fine Arts Center. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

A free concert featuring the visiting musicians will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in Room 101 of the Berrong Music Hall. Admission is free but seating is limited.

Receptions for the guest artists will follow both the Thursday and Friday evening concerts.

The SWOSU Jazz Festival is presented by the SWOSU Department of Music with assistance from the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
