SWOSU Music Therapy Concert Planned at Clinton Assisted Living Center


Students of Southwestern Oklahoma State University's music therapy program will help residents of the Angelwood Assisted Living Center of Clinton celebrate the season of spring with a resident concert.

The concert "Celebrating Spring" will be this Thursday, April 30, at 4 p.m. under the direction of SWOSU student music therapists Amy Schmidt and program director Dr. ChihChen Sophia Lee. It will feature the musical theme of spring.

The concert is open to the public and admission is free.

SWOSU has the only baccalaureate music therapy program in the state of Oklahoma. The program is accredited by the American Music Therapy Association and National Association of School of Music. SWOSU graduates since 2002 have a 100% passing rate on the National Board Certification Exam for Music Therapists.
