SWOSU Won't Raise Tuition and Fees

Southwestern Oklahoma State University will not raise tuition and mandatory fees for next year on the Weatherford and Sayre campuses.

SWOSU President John Hays said the legislature, along with federal stimulus support, provided enough funds that SWOSU will be able to operate without raising tuition or fees for the next year.

"I know this is important information for our students and their families as they prepare for the upcoming school year," Hays said. "SWOSU will continue to provide an education at a very reasonable cost, and we will continue to maintain our academic reputation, including having the most nationally-accredited academic programs of any regional university in Oklahoma."

Resident tuition at SWOSU will remain at $137 per hour, while non-resident tuition will stay at $315 per hour.
